About The Rex Studio for Classical Pilates.

At The Rex Studio, I am dedicated to teaching bespoke Pilates in a safe, welcoming environment. The Rex Studio is a fully equipped classical studio featuring equipment from Contrology and Current Concepts by Balanced Body and Gratz. The studio—with its high ceilings and cascading natural light—is located on the second floor of the historic Masonic building in the center of beautiful Lambertville, NJ. Opened in the summer of 2022 under the mentorship of Master Teacher, Zane Rankin, I am honored to pass on his legacy and love for Joseph Pilates’ system. In addition to being a classically trained Pilates instructor, I hold a degree in Dietetic Technology and am a registered nutrition professional with the Commission of Dietetic Registration. I am grateful to share my knowledge and experience each and every day with my students and clients to help them create healthful and balanced lives.

Pilates Philosophy.

Pilates, also referred to as Contrology, is a series of precisely executed exercises created to enhance strength, flexibility, stability, and control within one’s body. It is an exercise system ideal for all ages and body types as there is something in the practice for everyone. Incorporating a consistent Pilates practice into your routine has the power to increase strength, physique, confidence, awareness, and overall wellness.  The six principles of Pilates as defined by the first generation students of Joseph Pilates are: Concentration. Control. Center. Precision. Fluidity. Breath.
